If you are interested in fundraising for a specific piece of equipment then please contact a member of the Appeal team on (0161) 276 4522. In the meantime you will find a little more information on some of the equipment below.

Treatment Laser (Neonatal) -This is used to treat Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP). This is a condition that can affect the development of blood vessels within the retina and is more common in infants with a gestational age of less than 28 weeks. Failure to treat this condition can lead to visual impairment or blindness.

Infant Warmer System – This costs approximately £4,000 and helps staff to manage the transfer of neonates from an incubator to a cot by controlling the temperature of the cot with a thermostat and alarm.  The heat is provided through a heated pad which is safely under a gel mattress.
